HOW IT ALL STARTED
Apex Driving Events was launched in the summer of 2014. A strong passion for motorsport, and a credit card limit just high enough to rent a race track, resulted in a one-day event
at Lime Rock Park. Initially focused on enthusiast drivers with high performance street cars, the concept has evolved into a professional motorsport development platform.
This evolution of offering brings an evolution in name, as of the start of 2025 Apex Driving Events has matured into Apex One, offering programs that run the full spectrum of motorsport. From the pinnacle of modern sports car racing with LMDh Hybrid Prototypes, to amateur drivers looking for licensure to launch their racing career, we embrace motor racing enthusiasts at all levels.

DAN BLOOM
DIRECTOR & FOUNDER
Dan Bloom’s passion for cars, and ultimately motor racing, started around the time he was able
to turn the pages of a car magazine. Growing up in
a family that had very little to zero interest in cars, we’re not entirely sure of the genesis of this obsession, but it’s become a life-long adventure. After graduating college in 2007, he was able to convince the sales manger at the local Porsche dealership he was qualified for a sales position.
One thing lead to another and he found himself
at the race track for a new vehicle launch.
The start of the journey that is Apex One began.
Apex One was founded in 2014 in Boston, Ma and is still based there today.

Calvin has been obsessed with cars for as long as he can remember. It started with toy cars and racing games as a kid, and grew to working on project cars with his dad as a teenager. Occasional trips to SCCA races to watch his uncle compete spurred his love for motor racing. Always wanting to drive, but not knowing where to start, he and his college roommate skipped their sophomore economics class to attend a track day – Apex One’s second ever event. He and Dan have been working together ever since.

Apex One Testing offers drivers and teams a curated experience which maximizes their time at the circuit. Open format sessions with cars of similar performance, fully catered hospitality and driver health and physio services are standard practice.
